Kaieteur Sports – Ahead of the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Guyana officially commissioned their Box Office yesterday, as preparations continue ahead of the spectacle.
Yesterday’s virtual meeting featured ICC head of Public Relations and Communications Damon Leon, Director of Sports Steve Ninvalle and Andrew Tyndall Director of Events Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports.
The team spoke on the logistics of the tournament and its upcoming activities in Guyana such as the unveiling of the trophy, meet and greet with officials among other tributaries of the World Cup.
Director of Sports Ninvalle said that preparations are coming along well especially at the respective venues, most notably the Guyana National Stadium, to which he lauded the team for ensuring the Stadium remains in peak shape ahead of the World Cup.
He said the practice venues like GCC, DCC, Everest to name a few are also in premier shape ahead of the event.
Ninvalle further added that the pitches are up to standards and playable, confirming that the venues will be handed over today with all infrastructural aspects in place.
