Kaieteur News – Guyana Golf Association president Aleem Hussain (GGA) credited Ideal Autos Inc. one of Guyana’s leading auto dealers, following Wednesday’s contribution to the development of the recently opened Westside Golf Course.
The country’s first public facility located in Vreed-en-Hoop/Crane, received a boost recently as the company provided a storage container for the equipment that will be used to train students and first time players.
“This gesture means a lot as it allows us to provide players with the tools they need to learn the sport, especially since not many have access to golf equipment”‘, said Hussain.
Also joining the ranks of corporate sponsors to support the Westside Golf Course and development of Golf in Guyana is Reliance Inc. The company that offers rental of excavators, bobcats, rollers, bulldozers, twinsteer trucks, etc.
Company Directors, Steven & Dillon Sugrim who evolved Reliance Inc. from Agri Parts Machinery & Service said, “We understand the importance of growing a new business in a market and definitely wanted to get involved with this amazing project as soon as we heard about it. Westside Golf Course is providing something that we can all benefit from so we didn’t hesitate to become a sponsor.”
The Westside Golf Course is gaining Corporate Sponsorship as they seek to target youths in the area.With major sponsors such as Banks DIH, Blue Life Waters, Sunshine Snacks, Guyana Beverages, Darthan Investments, Puran Brothers, Toolsie Persaud Ltd, Aracari Resorts, Caliper Drones, Darthan Investments, DDL Savannah Milk, and Praetorian Executive Security already on board and with support from Region 3 Private Sector and Regional Offices, the facility is already turning heads and bringing attention to sports tourism in the region.
