Kaieteur Sports – With the on and off weather pattern in Guyana at the moment the Upper Corentyne Cricket Association (UCCA) is anxious to get back to action.
Presently the Manoj Rajram “Luxury” Memorial 100 Balls Cricket Competition is stalled due to the inclement weather.
The UCCA is anxious for the teams to get back in action so that the competition could be concluded and others begin.
The inaugural competition, which is for teams in the Upper Corentyne including the Black Bush area, is being sponsored by Manoj Rajram’s children.
Some 24 teams entered the competition which is being played on a knock out basis.
First round matches were completed with some of the games being affected by the inclement weather.
The winners advanced to the second round while the losers were eliminated. (Samuel Whyte)
