Wade slams century as GCC, MYO draw
Joshua Wade stroked a fine century as Georgetown Cricket Club and Muslim Youth Organisation played to draw when the latest round of matches in the Georgetown Cricket Association/Noble House Sea Foods second division two-day tournament concluded on Sunday.
Play began at 14:00hrs due to rain and Wade struck 107 before he retired hurt; he got support from Timothy Mc Almont who made 70. The pair added 160 after GCC lost a few wickets at the top of the order; GCC posted 225-8 before they declared in the last hour, batting a second time at MYO.
Ray Barker and Chien Gittens claimed two wickets each.
Scores: GCC 149 all out (Deonarine Seegobin 44, Richard Latif 5-55) and 225-8 declared (Joshua Wade 107, Timothy Mc Almont 70, Chien Gittens and Ray Barker 2 each). MYO 131 all out (Abdul Kumar 43, Seegobin 3-24).
