Kaieteur Sports – The Kennard Memorial Turf Club (KMTC) has expressed sincere gratitude to all its sponsors and supporters. The club takes the opportunity to say a big thank you to all contributors who made its recently concluded Boxing Day Horse Race meet a success.
Among those receiving commendations were a cache of sponsors that were on board including – Trophy Stall, P and P Insurance Brokers, Colin Elcock Delmur Company Limited, Kharag Family of USA, Nand Persaud and Company Limited, Patsan Trading Establishment, HorseShoe Racing Services, Colin Elcock Delmur Company Limited, KSM Investment Limited, Mike’s Pharmacy, N and S Matai the Food Market, Js Supermarket, Poonai Pharmacy, Rohan Auto Sales, Rajesh Ramlakhan, Khanai’s Guyana Electrical Agency, Dalip Trading Limited, Amco Construction, T Balkarran of USA, Big G Lumber Yard, Majeed Family of The USA, Ramesh Persaud “Rus” and Black Boy of the USA.
Also receiving commendation was the Guyana Police Force contingent led by Deputy Superintendent Michael Newland.
According to Matriarch and honorary President of the KMTC, Chand Kennard, she would also like to say special thanks to the Board of Directors of the club, a group she is very proud to be associated with. They worked beyond the call of duty to make sure that the day’s proceedings were incident-free and came off with a bang.
The event was dominated by horses from the J’s Horse Racing Stable, with two wins, a second and a fourth.
The KMTC is one of the premiere horse racing venues in the country and is synonymous with staging top-notch horse race meets. The Boxing Day horse race meet was no exception – a bumper crowd was in attendance.
Meanwhile, the KMTC will now shift their focus to their annual Phagwah Horse Racing Meet, which is normally scheduled for the month of March. (Samuel Whyte)
