Kaieteur Sports – The stage is set and the stakes couldn’t be higher, as the organisers of the ‘Kings of the Streets’ Futsal Championship seeks to crown its 2026 champions. Team Spirit and North East will be locked in for a blockbuster showdown tonight, Thursday, April 30, after both sides powered through Tuesday’s semifinals at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall tarmac to book their place in the championship final.

Northeast beat Festival City 6-2.

Four contenders entered but only two survived. North East made a statement (loud and clear) brushing aside Festival City 6-2 in a commanding, no-nonsense display. It was one-way traffic for long stretches, with North East asserting dominance and leaving no doubt about their title ambitions.

Team Spirit won 2-1 on penalty kicks.

The second semifinal delivered pure drama. Team Spirit and Ballers Empire went toe-to-toe in a gripping contest that ended 2-2 in regulation. With nerves stretched and everything on the line, Team Spirit held their composure in the penalty shootout, edging Ballers Empire 2-1 to punch their ticket to the final.

Now, it all comes down to this.

Tonight, April 30, North East and Team Spirit will collide for ultimate bragging rights and the 2026 crown. Power meets resilience. Firepower meets nerve.

Meanwhile, before the main event, Festival City and Ballers Empire will battle for third place at 9 PM—one last shot at redemption before the champions are crowned.
