Kaieteur Sports – Fresh from its dominant performances at the recently held Boxing Day horse Race meet at the Kennard’s Memorial Turf Club, the J’s Horse Racing Stable will be looking to continue its dominance in the horse racing arena at the Rising Sun Turf Club today.
Amidst the talk of the clash between Data Man and Olympic Kremlin in the feature event, J’s Racing Stable says it has all the ingredients to seize the initiative and run away with the crown.
According to sources, the stable is throwing down the gauntlet against its competitors in its quest for victory.
Apart from the recent feature race winner, Mapa Do Brasil, the J’s Racing Stable is expected to throw top horse, Companheiro Lea, in the feature event. Recent sprint classic winner, Mulan, Three D Move and a few other new imports are expected to turn out for the stable whose owners hail from New Amsterdam.
Nine races are carded for the day.
The feature event is the New Year’s Day Stakes over one mile, which is open to all horses in Guyana. The winner is set to race away with a pleasing $ 2M and a trophy. A keen battle is anticipated.
Among the other races set for the day are the Sprint Classic, the two-year-old event for imported horses and the three-year-old Guyana-bred Derby.
The F-Class event for three-year-old imported maidens in Guyana is also open to first-time starters and Brazilian-bred horses imported on or before September 2025.
There is also the H2 and Lower, open to three-year-old West Indian bred and the L Class non-winners of 2025, the I-Class and Lower is open to two-year-olds.
