Kaieteur Sports – Lusignan Golf Club hosted a successful day of competition and camaraderie at the Readymix Concrete Limited and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport Golf Tournament, held in collaboration with Banks DIH. The tournament attracted 34 participants who competed across multiple flights in excellent golfing conditions.
Leading the day’s performances was Richard Hannif, who emerged as the overall male champion after producing the tournament’s Best Net score of 70 from a gross 82. Hanniff also captured first place in the Men’s 0–13 Handicap Flight and secured the Best Gross title with his score of 82, capping off an outstanding day on the course.

Second place in the Men’s 0–13 Handicap Flight went to Mike Mangal, who returned a net 73 from a gross 84, while George Bulkan finished third with a net 73 from a gross 85.
In the Ladies Division, Joaan Deo was crowned the overall female champion after carding a net 71 from a gross 86, while finishing second was newcomer Princessa. Her participation and performance were seen as encouraging signs for the continued growth of women’s golf, as the Lusignan Golf Club continues to encourage more women to become actively involved in the sport.

The Men’s 14–28 Handicap Flight saw Anand Persaud take first place with a net 71 from a gross 85. Troy Cadogan finished second with a net 72 from a gross 96, while Miguel Nunes secured third position with a net 74 from a gross 88.
Special prizes added further excitement to the tournament, with Karamchan Persaud winning the Longest Drive competition and Orson Ferguson claiming the Closest-to-the-Pin prize.

The Lusignan Golf Club expressed sincere gratitude to Readymix Concrete Limited, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, and Banks DIH for their valued support in making the tournament a success. The club also thanked all players and supporters for contributing to another memorable day of golf at Lusignan.
