Kaieteur Sports – The Lusignan Golf Club (LGC) has extended sincere thanks to Corporate Guyana for its invaluable support throughout 2025, reaffirming that strong private-sector partnerships remain essential to the club’s viability, growth, and community impact.
Support from businesses enabled the club to host a full calendar of notable tournaments this year, underlining how corporate involvement strengthens sport, community engagement, and national pride.
Among the highlights were the inaugural GBTI Mastercard Golf Classic, sponsored by the Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (GBTI); the STP Investments Inc. Golf Tournament, marking continued investment from STP; the AmCham Guyana Golf Classic, which attracted record participation and collective corporate engagement; the Trophy Stall Golf Tournament, backed by long-standing supporter Trophy Stall; and the Banks Beer Cup, a celebrated event supported by Banks DIH Limited.
Additionally, the club hosted the Brava Guyana Open Golf Tournament, with Brava Solutions serving as title sponsor for the fourth consecutive year, drawing regional competitors and elevating the profile of golf in Guyana.
Public Relations Officer of the Lusignan Golf Club, Dr. Joann Deo, reflected on the year’s achievements: “The Lusignan Golf Club is profoundly grateful to Corporate Guyana for standing with us in 2025. Through partnerships with organisations such as GBTI, STP Investments Inc., AmCham Guyana, Trophy Stall, Banks DIH, and Brava Solutions, we delivered a competitive and vibrant tournament season that benefited our members, visiting golfers, and sponsors alike. Each sponsor has demonstrated corporate social responsibility in action, supporting sport, networking, and community engagement while contributing to national development.”
Dr. Deo emphasised that involvement from Corporate Guyana yields mutual benefits: companies gain networking and visibility opportunities among influential audiences, while the club secures essential resources for course maintenance, event hosting, and future development.
As Guyana’s economy continues to expand, the Lusignan Golf Club invites additional corporate entities to join its supporter base. Expanded partnerships will help the club enhance facilities, broaden youth and community programmes, and strengthen golf’s sustainability nationwide.
The club remains dedicated to stewardship, accountability, and partnership, and looks forward to deepening existing relationships while welcoming new corporate allies in the coming year.
