Long standing sponsor of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, MS, Ansa Mcal (Guy) Ltd, has once again joined hands with Guyana’s leading Non Governmental Organisation to make a positive difference under the Company’s Non-Alcoholic Brand. The Company is pumping $300,000 into the publication of one thousand copies of a Youth Information Book for youths in the Ancient County especially those involved in Sports.

Secretary/CEO of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, Hilbert Foster stated that the Booklet is a major part of the Club’s highly successful Say No/Say Yes Campaign. The ten Cricket Teams of Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club under the programme, advise youths to Say No to Crime, Suicide, Drugs, Alcohol, Tobacco and Yes to Education, Life, Sports, Religion, Culture. The Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club is working along with the Berbice Cricket Board with the Ansa Mcal sponsored Booklet Project to make sure that thousands of youths playing the game of cricket are fully informed of the social ills they would face and to get them to make correct decisions.
The 40 Pages Booklet would be published at the F & H Printery in Georgetown and would provide information on twenty five topics of importance to youths including the Importance of Education, Importance of Discipline, HIV/AIDS, Suicide, Choosing Friends, Personal Hygiene, Public Manners, Role of a Sports Ambassador, Importance of Religion, Public Speaking, Peer Pressure, Drug Abuse and Sports Etiquette.
The Booklet would also have important information for young cricketers, so that they would understand their roles as role models and students of the game.
Foster, who is also the President of the Berbice Cricket Board, hailed the publication of the Booklet as another major effort by the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, MS to offer sports and education as a positive alternative to a life on the road, involving crime, drugs and alcohol. He praised the support of Ansa Mcal who he described as a foundation of the successes of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club over the years and hailed the cooperation of Brand Manager Errol Nelson, Gabriella Lopez, Fhlaris Mohamed. He committed the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club to playing a major role in the promotion of the Company in a positive way. Foster disclosed that the Non-Alcoholic Section assisted the Club in successfully hosting its 29th Award Ceremony and the two organisations would be working together in the future on other projects including the 2019 Christmas Village. The Non-Alcoholic Section also renewed its sponsorship of the RHTYSC, MS Television Programme.
Brand Manager Errol Nelson hailed the outstanding relationship between the Club and Ansa Mcal as it continues to make positive difference in the lives of others. Ansa Mcal, he stated was pleased to be associated with the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club as it was well known for its work. He expressed confidence that the objectives of the Booklet would be achieved and looks forward to similar projects in the future.
Ansa Mcal over the last two decades has sponsored or co-sponsored numerous programmes for the Club including Annual Awards Ceremony, Annual Youth Review Magazine, Annual Cricket Academy, Christmas Village, Charity Programme, Say No/Say Yes Campaign, Ansa Mcal Award of Excellence, Tribute to Outstanding Teachers and Mother of the Year Award.
