Ballerz Entertainment GT Beer-sponsored 5-a-side Soft Shoe Football Competition which is being run on a Round Robin/ Knockout basis is set to resume today with playoff action, at the Mocha Community Centre ground, East Bank Demerara.
According to a release from the Organisers, teams from host Mocha, Agricola, Grove, Bagotstown and other communities along the East Bank corridor will be vying for prize monies in excess of $200,000 along with trophies and bragging rights.
The tournament kicked off on September 23 and run until October 20, at the same venue.
The release added that the winning team will receive $100,000, while second and third placed finishers will take home $50,000 and $25,000 respectively along with trophies.

Dream Team vs. Cricketers
Hard Ball vs. Front Side Warriors
Top Strikers vs. Family
Meanwhile, opening night results are as follows:

Hard Ball squeezed past Cricketers 3-2
Family hammered Church Boys 7-1
Dream Team beat Front Side Warriors 3-2 on penalty kicks after drawing 2-2 in regulation time.
