Blairmont and Transport SC registered victories when the Well Teen, Trophy Stall, Tropical Spring and Nauth Motor Spares U13 25-over cricket competition continued recently at DCC.
Blairmont defeated Gandhi Youth Organisation by 91 runs.
Batting first, Blairmont scored 141-8. Zynol Ramsammy led with 25, while Antowne Alexander made 21 and Inderjit Lalsa 15. Extras contributed 36 as Krisna Singh claimed 3-15 and Dilshan Ramnarine 2-21. GYO were bowled out for 50 in 21 overs in reply including 32 extras. Hemchand Ragbir captured 4-8 to take the man-of-the-match award, while Streedath Roopnarine had 2-7. Transport SC overcame Blairmont by two wickets. Blairmont took first strike and managed 102 all out. Sreedath Roopnarine made 22 and Zynol Ramsammy 12. Alvin Mohabir grabbed 4-7 and Jonathan Adams 4-14. Transport SC scored 103-8 in 24.4 overs in reply. Shamar Yearwood hit 23 while Rudernauth Kissoon made 20 while extras contributed 29. Inderjit Lalsa took 2-20. Mohabir was voted man-of-the-match.
