Play in the Hamilton Green Cup Knockout Football tournament continues today at the Victoria ground on the East Coast of Demerara.
Mahaicony are down to battle Grove Hi Tech at 4:00pm in the opening contest, while Mahaica come up against Riddim Squad at 6:00pm and Ann’s Grove collide with Pele in the night cap at 8:00pm.
Teams are battling for attractive prizes which include $500,000 and the Minister of Citizenship trophy for the winner, $250,000 and the Busta trophy, $150,000 and the John Fernandes trophy and $100,000 and the Cummings Electrical trophy respectively for the other top three finishers.
The final of the tournament has been fixed for the Leonora Sports Facility on September 3.
