Milo U-20 Secondary Schools Football Tournament
Richard Ishmael and New Campbellville were emphatic winners when the Milo Under-20 Secondary Schools Football Competition continued yesterday, at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.

The Woolford Avenue-based Richard Ishmael inflicted a heavy 5-0 drubbing on Central High, while New Campbellville was also in a dominant mood, crushing Sophia Special School 4-0.
In the opening game, Carmel was the first team of the day to register a win when they defeated Chase Academy 2-1 in an exciting encounter.
On target for the winners was Kevin Winth, who netted in the 39th minute and Marlon Nedd in the 44th.
For Chase Academy, Carl Semple made the consolation strike in the 46th minute.
In the second game, New Campbellville got their goals off the boots of Shamar Fraser 4th min, Keon David 25th min, Daniel Ross 57th min and Akeem Pinheiro 62nd min.
Ronaldo Dover with a hat-trick in the 22nd, 31st and 62nd minutes led the way for Richard Ishmael, while support also came from Krisstoff Watts in the 39th min and Raphael Fowler 74th min.
Meanwhile, the top four schools will receive cash awards which will go towards the creation of a project of their choice.
The champion school will receive $200,000, runner-up $100,000, third place $50,000 and fourth $25,000. All four institutions will also be given medals and trophies, while the Most Valuable Player, Highest Goalscorer, Best Goalkeeper, Best Coach and Most Supportive Parent will be recognised for their achievements.
The schools hunting the top prizes are: Charlestown, North Georgetown, Christ Church, Ascension, Tucville, St John’s College, St George’s, Tutorial High, Cummings Lodge, Bishop’s High, South Ruimveldt, Queen’s College, Lodge, David Rose, Dolphin Secondary, Guyana Education Trust College, St Winefride, North Ruimveldt, Carmel, Brickdam, New Campbellville, Sophia Special School, Richard Ishmael and Central High.
The competition continues next weekend at the same venue.
