Businessman John Lewis, former CEO of Bermine and Manager of Water Chris Hotel was re-elected President of The Flying Ace Cycling Club of Berbice when that entity held its Annual General Meeting on Friday last in New Amsterdam.
Attorney at Law Mursaline Bacchus will again serve as the First Vice President; Businessman Ganesh Singh as Second Vice President with the duties of Third Vice President bering performed by Dhani Tulsi.
Policewoman Margret Kuma is the Secretary while Randolph Roberts serve as Treasurer, Public Relations Officer and the Club Coach. Former New Amsterdam Mayor Errol Alphonso was retained as Club Patron.
The committee members are Fizal Ally, Rudolph Blair, Pearl Arokium, attorney-at-Law Lloyd Joseph and overseas based Cyclists Franco Crawford and Leaton Blake. National junior cycling champion Neil Reece has been appointed the club captain.
Former long serving Secretary Rhonda Russel has been named as an honorary member. The club is the only active cycling club in the ancient county.
The club will pedal off their 2011 season with the annual Franco Crawford 46-mile open road race set for this Sunday from Springlands to New Amsterdam.
