Led by MVP of the tournament Stellon David who also blasted a double, Heavenly Light ‘B’ whipped their ‘A’ counterparts 3-2 to win the Third Edition of the Network Deliverance Ministry (NDM) Inter Church Futsal Championship on Saturday evening at the National Gymnasium.

The ‘A’ team, who were the defending champions, were never able to settle in and dictate the pace of the game as David and his teammates combined to take the fight to their counterparts from the whistle.
Michael Young tucked in the other goal for the winners while Trevon Lythcott and Paul Bobb were the players on target for the losers.
The third place trophy was taken by Elim Pentecostal ‘B’ who mauled Love and Faith 10-3. The Highest Goal Scorer of the tournament Phillip Rowley netted 5 of his 11 goals in this match, Timothy Telford supported with a brace while there was one each for Kevin Jackson, Jimmy Carter and Owen Pinder.
Dellon Cadogan scored twice with one from John Harrison for Love and Faith.
In the semi-finals which were contested earlier in the evening, Heavenly Light ‘B’ got the better of Elim ‘B’ 3-1 while the champions disposed of Love and Faith 3-0.
Adjudged as the best dressed team was Network Deliverance Ministry, while Tucville Assembly were presented with a trophy for scoring the most goals in a game when they swamped Jesus Deliverance Mission International 11-0.
This new record surpasses the 10-0 recorded by Beacon Ministry over First Assembly in 2006.
