BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – Jamaica ended in a strong position at the close of the opening day of the TCL Group West Indies Under-19 Challenge which is being played in Barbados.
Electing to bat against Trinidad and Tobago, they reached 294 for seven at Banks Brewery ground yesterday.
Scores: Jamaica 294-7 (Horace Miller 75, Maverick Perry 49, Andre Creary 43, Nick Blackwood 30, Garth Garvey 29, John Ross-Campbell 27, Romeo Dunka 20 not out; Javed Boodram 3-68).
In another match, Barbados were replying to the Windward Islands’ 105 all out in their first innings. At the close of the first day’s play they reached 101 for three at the 3Ws Oval, UWI Cave Hill.
