2026 ExxonMobil GSL… Future stars rub shoulders with international players as part of mini clinic
Some of Guyana’s top prospects were a part of a clinic hosted by the GSL and a few of the players this past Sunday at Providence.
Kaieteur Sports – Some of Guyana’s future prospect cricketers rubbed shoulders on Sunday with a few international stars at the Guyana National Stadium ahead of the upcoming ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League (GSL), which bowls off later this week.
The youngsters gained vital and first hand knowledge of the game courtesy of franchise players who will represent the respective franchises namely; Guyana Amazon Warriors, Perth Scorchers, San Francisco Unicorns, Lahore Qalandars and Desert Vipers.

The one day clinic focused heavily on the fundamentals of the game mostly notably; batting, fast bowling, spin bowling, and fielding.
Speaking with local media, Desert Vipers fast-bowling Coach former player Azhar Mahmood lauded the concept of the GSL while citing his pleasure in being apart of such a tournament.
Mahmood said his players were amped up ahead of the tournament’s start, adding that he sees tons of talent here locally coupled with endless potential; the coach believed that sky’s the limit for the young talents who he believes will one day represent their country as well as the West Indies.
Guyana Amazon Warriors newbie Johnathan Van Lange, who is excited ahead of his first stint with the Warriors, also credited the clinic as well as hailing the overseas players for their time spent with the younger crop of stars.
