Kaieteur Sports – Clinical all-round Barbados continued their winning ways while the Guyanese suffered their third straight loss, this time by 63-runs when yesterday’s third round of Regional U-19 50-Over cricket continued at the Coolidge Cricket Ground, Antigua.
Posting 258 all out after Jordan Graham (78) and Justin Parris (67) led all scoring, Barbados would keep Guyana to 195 all out despite Adrian Hetmyer stroking a resurgent 61.
Parris would go on to complete a good game by claiming 4-19 to go along with his half-century, while 3 wickets apiece from Gilbert Griffith and spinner Romario Ramdehol, headlined Guyana’s bowling efforts earlier in the match.
Leeward Islands beat Windward Islands by a whopping 144-runs in their match, while Jamaica handed Trinidad and Tobago a 109-run defeat as part of yesterday’s round.
Guyana will look to now salvage whatever they can come round 4 when they play the Leewards at the Liberta Sport Club on Saturday. (Clifton Ross)
