Linden chef killed in Soesdyke-Linden accident
(Kaieteur News) – A Linden chef, Jamal Albert, was killed in an accident on Friday night along the Linden-Soesdyke Highway.
The crash occurred around 20:00hrs on a bridge located before the Guyana Defence Force’s (GDF) Base Camp Seweyo.

Reports indicate that Albert was driving his car, with a passenger on board, when he slammed into two canters. One canter was reportedly towing the other at the time of the collision. Albert became pinned in the wreckage, and the Guyana Fire Service (GFS) was called in to cut him free.

Albert and his passenger were subsequently taken to the Linden Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The circumstances surrounding the accident remain unclear at this time, and police are yet to release the findings of their preliminary investigation.
Meanwhile, an outpouring of tributes has followed the tragic news, with many expressing shock over Albert’s death. He was well known in Linden, where he owned a food business.

Did he actually “slammed into the back of TWO canter/trucks,’ one towed
by the other ?
