Kaieteur Sports – The National Sports Commission Ministry of Culture, Youth & Sport Janet & Cheddi Jagan School girls & boys Windball Cricket 11 edition organised by Sports Officer A. Munroe continues today Thursday with several matches.

Games scheduled, for today April 16, will see the Region 2 tournament getting underway at the Queenstown ground in Essequibo with NSC/MCYS Sports Organiser, Debra Daniels, coordinating this event.

Janet & Cheddi Jagan School girls & boys Windball Cricket continues today

Janet & Cheddi Jagan were both former Presidents of Guyana.

Defending Region 2 and national boys champions Abrams Zuil Secondary and the Girls of Abrams Zuil Secondary will be in action.

Tomorrow, Friday 17, schools from Region 4, East Bank Demerara will do battle at the National Gymnasium from 9:55am. Defending Region 4 & national champions Yarrowkabra Secondary girls and the Boys of Covent Garden Secondary will headline the competition.

On Saturday 18, action switches to Region 3 with Sports Organiser Deon Carew coordinating the days event at the National Track & Field Centre at Edinburg, West Coast, Demerara starting time 9.30 am.

Defending Region 3 champions & national 2nd place school, Parika Salem Secondary in both the girls and boys tournaments will be looking to defend.

This year schools will be competing for a prize of Four hundred thousand dollars in each category.
