All set for the Kennard Memorial Turf Club Emancipation Horse race meet This Sunday
– Over $10M at stake

(Kaieteur News) – With sponsors on board and horses entered all is set for the Kennard Memorial Turf Club Grand Emancipation Horse Race meet.
The meet is set for Sunday August 2nd at the prestigious KMTC venue, Bush Lot Farm Corentyne Berbice.
The day’s event, which has seven races on the cards, has a lavish $10M in cash, trophies and other incentives up for grabs in what is expected to be a grand and exciting day of racing.

The feature event is open to all 3 year old and over horses in Guyana over one mile where an interesting line up has taken entry. Among them are Frontline Warrior, Hot and Lucky and Gryphon among others. The winner will race away with $1M and a trophy.
The likes of Stormy Victory, Converter, Turmalina Negra, Qurbaan Kingdom and Oy Vey are among the top entries slated to battle in the Co-feature event. That race is for animals classified E class non winners and also open to F and G class horses. The first prize is worth $500,000 and a trophy.
All the other races have interesting line ups.
The H class and lower gallop for a winners take of $400,000 and a trophy.
The event for Guyana Bred three-year-old maiden horses and three years old Guyana Bred maidens’ winner of one has a similar prize.
Then there are the two races for Guyana-Bred two-year-old maiden horses for a pole position take of $350,000 each and trophies.
The final event is for the L Class Open horses where the top animal will carry home $350,000 and a trophy.
As usual the Trophy Stall will be presenting the outstanding participants including the top jockeys, trainers, stables with trophies and other incentives etc. compliments of Managing Director Ramesh Sunich.
Among the sponsors on board so far are the Trophy Stall, Mike’s Pharmacy, Colin Elcock Delmur Company and Racing Stables, Big G Lumber Yard and Stables, Patsan’s Trading Company, Survival Supermarket, Rohan Auto Sales, Armco Construction, Davenant Sawh Mechanical WorkShop, Joe Jagmohan Company and oversees based Karamchand Balkarran.
The day’s event will be conducted using the rules of the Kennard Memorial Turf Club. Race time is 12:30 hrs.
