Paradise FC complete double as GFF wraps up BFA Youth Ensemble Programme
(Kaieteur News) – After nearly three months of spirited grassroots competition, the Berbice Football Association (BFA) on Sunday successfully concluded its leg of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Youth Ensemble Programme, with Paradise Football Club stamping its authority by capturing both the Under-13 and Under-15 titles, and a place in the national championship.
The dominant display saw Paradise FC emerge as the inaugural champions in both divisions, underlining the club’s growing strength at the youth level and bringing the curtain down on another successful chapter of the nationwide developmental initiative.
Conceptualised by the Guyana Football Federation in partnership with FIFA, the Youth Ensemble Programme was introduced to reshape the structure of youth football across Guyana through a coordinated, year-round competition model that prioritises player development, talent identification and the long-term growth of the national game.

The initiative provides structured competition for boys at the Under-13 and Under-15 levels and extends across all nine Regional Associations, creating a consistent pathway for emerging footballers while ensuring they benefit from regular competitive action and proper technical guidance.
Following the successful completion of the East Bank Football Association (EBFA) and East Demerara Football Association (EDFA) Under-13 competitions, GFF officials journeyed to Berbice to crown the champions in both age groups, where Paradise FC proved the standout outfit by completing an impressive title sweep.
While Paradise celebrated a memorable double, Cougars FC and Monedderlust FC also earned praise for their commendable campaigns. Both clubs finished as runners-up in the Under-13 and Under-15 divisions respectively, producing spirited performances throughout the competition and contributing to a highly competitive finale.
Beyond the pursuit of trophies, the Youth Ensemble Programme represents a significant investment in the future of Guyanese football. The competition is designed to establish a sustainable annual calendar of organised youth football while creating an environment where young players can continuously develop their technical abilities and competitive experience.
With champions now crowned in three regional Under-13 competitions and with crowning of Berbice’s U15 champions, attention will soon shift to the remaining Under-15 tournaments across the country as the GFF continues rolling out the Youth Ensemble Programme in its mission to strengthen the foundation of football development nationwide.
