Kaieteur Sports – The NTFGL Golf League is poised for a thrilling conclusion this Sunday as Round 8 tees off with the championship still up for grabs. In an exciting twist, all eight players in the final two groups remain in contention, setting the stage for a high-stakes finish at Lusignan Golf Club.
Final pairings were determined based on total points, with ties broken by the order in which players reached their scores, adding further intensity to an already competitive leaderboard.

The leaders of the pack, pictured, will be involved in fierce competition as they seek to claim the title.
The spotlight will be on the top pairing, where Patanjilee Persaud leads on 18 points. Close behind are Videsh Persaud, Fazil Haniff, and Joseph Szeplaki, all tied on 17 points. With just one point separating the leader from three challengers, the title race is wide open and promises a battle down to the final holes.
The second group also carries significant weight in the championship chase. Brian Hackett, also on 17 points, remains firmly within striking distance and will be aiming to capitalize on any opportunity to close the gap. He is joined by Patrick Prashad (15), Mike Mangal (12), and Kishan Bacchus (10), all of whom still have outside chances of making a late push for the title.
One notable absence will be Chet Bowling, who is unable to participate in the final round. While his absence reshapes the field slightly, the competition remains fierce across both groups. All players are asked to be on time for the 8:00 AM tee-off, as the league prepares for what promises to be an electrifying finish.
With the championship on the line and no clear runaway leader, fans can expect a gripping finale where composure, precision, and mental toughness will ultimately decide who lifts the NTFGL League title.
