2025 CWI Regional Women’s T20 Blaze Championships…
Kaieteur Sports- Windwards suffered a tough 7-wicket loss to Guyana via the Duckworth/Lewis Method yesterday when Women’s Blaze T20 Cricket continued at the Arnos Vale Ground.
In a game reduced to 13-overs per side, Guyana emerged winner by a landslide margin after keeping the opposition to 61-9 after 13 overs.
Apart from Windwards captain Zaida James (13), only opener Nerissa Crafton (14) and Japhina Joseph (17) added to the scoring before their departures.
Spinner Niya Latchman led with magical returns of 4-8, while fellow slower bowlers Ashmini Munisar (2-10) and Sheneta Grimmond (2-16) continued their form.
Despite Niesha Cherry snaring 2-14 for Windwards, it was Realeanna Grimmond who led with another top knock, this time hitting 30 with one six.
Shabika Gajnabi added 26 not out as the pair laid the groundwork for Guyana Guyana finishing on 65-3 in 12 overs.
Guyana plays Barbados on Monday under lights from 19:00h.
