Priyanna Ramdhani advances to Quarter-Finals in the Cuba Intl Badminton Tourney 2024
Priyanna Ramdhani has advanced to the quarter-finals of the ladies tourney in Cuba.
Kaieteur Sports – The Guyanese Duo of Priyanna Ramdhani and Akil Haynes started play yesterday in the XXII Torneo Internacional de Badminton Giradilla 2024 at the “Ciudad Deportiva” Sport City Hall, La Havana, Cuba.
Ramdhani advanced to the quarter-finals of the Women’s tournament. The duo competed in the Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles, results are as follows:
Men Singles (Round of 32)
Akili Haynes vs. Jose Leandro LabradaSoler: 15-21, 21-19, 22-20. Akili advances and will continue play in Round 2 (Round of 16) today.
Women Singles (Round of 32)
Priyanna Ramdhani vs. Angela Gina Pita Sanchez: 21-3, 21-3
Round of 16
Priyanna Ramdhani vs. Ginnet Cuellar Galvez: 21-10, 21-12. Priyanna advances and will continue play in the Quarter-finals today.
Mixed Doubles: (Round of 32)
Ramdhani/Haynes secured a Bye to the Round of 16, play was set to continue yesterday afternoon.
Women Doubles: (Round of 16)
Ramdhani teamed up with Chequeda Boulet(Trinidad & Tobago) and lost in the Round of 16 to Taymara Oropesa Pupo (Cuba)/Fabiana Silva (Brazil): 21-19, 21-13.
