Eureka Giddings edged out Hardeo Ganpat for the best net title at last year’s C&V Caribbean Shipping LTD stroke play competition. They will be chased by a strong field on Saturday as players have one final opportunity to play competitive golf ahead of the Guyana Open.
Last year’s competition attracted a strong 44-player field. This year will be no different as players honour the sponsor and use this final match to iron out the kinks in their competitive drive.
Saturday’s stroke play competition will be 18 holes of golf where the winners will be chosen from the top three lowest net scores and the best gross score. There will also be prizes for longest drive and closest to the flag.
C&V Caribbean Shipping LTD through their long-standing relationship with the LGC is focused on the expansion of the game of golf especially to youths across Guyana.
Former Captain Patrick Prashad, Chet Bowling, Paton George, Dr. Emanuel London and Tanza McAlmont, along with other members of LGC have all given of their time and input to help LGC and C&V Caribbean Shipping Ltd on the journey towards making golf accessible to any child interested in playing the game. Other sponsors have also joined this effort.
‘Incorporated in 1992, C&V Caribbean Shipping Ltd has maintained a mission of delivering the highest tier of service. We provide our clients with end-to-end solutions for all their freight forwarding, logistics, and oil & gas needs, and our employees with an environment focused on growth and development.
