The Social Cohesion 2019 Public Servants Games got off to a good start with the Inter-Ministries six-over Tapeball Cricket Competition last Sunday at the Durban Park Tarmac.
The Georgetown Public Hospital team defeated the Ministry of Public Infrastructure’s Maritime Administration in the finals to win the Office of the Prime Minister’s Trophy with medals and a cash prize.
GPHC batted first and scored 70-5 from their allotted overs, while Maritime Administration could only muster 56-6 when their six overs expired.
Office of the President’s Public Service Management team was adjudged the most disciplined team in the Competition.
On Sunday December 15 the Games will conclude with Softball Cricket, Dominos, seven-a-side Football and Athletics. There will also be Novelty Events with Trophies, Medals and Cash prizes up for grabs.
The venue for this Event will be announced later.
