-Plays Guyana’s top three clubs in three-game series
Top Seeded Surinamese Club, De Arend (The Eagles) will visit Guyana this weekend, arriving over land on Friday for a three-game series against Guyana’s top clubs at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
According to Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF), Vice-President, Michael Singh, they are slated for two games against GABF number one ranked, Bounty Colts and GABF third ranked, Pacesetters owed to the unavailability of Retrieve Raiders.
Raiders are ranked number two after placing second to Colts in the National Club Championship earlier this year.
“We will keep the media updated as it pertains to our press conference and the GABF intentions to host a dinner for our neighbours,” Singh said yesterday.
The supporting games are as follows:
Saturday: 5:30 PM National Under-16 vs. Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association Select U-19 and 7:30PM Plaisance Guardians vs. Republic Bank Nets.
Sunday: 5:30PM Rose Hall Jammers vs. Pepsi Sonics and Dynas Ravens vs. Linden’s Victory Valley Royals.
The main games are scheduled for 9:30PM nightly.
