The National Milling Company of Guyana Inc. (NAMILCO) has continued its sponsorship of the ‘Champion Athletes’ cash prize for the Boyce & Jefford Track and Field Classic VII, making the contribution official yesterday.

NAMILCO became a first-time sponsor of the competition three years ago and has continued the support of the event. The male and female ‘Champion Athletes’ at the upcoming meet, scheduled for August 27-28, will pocket $50,000 each.
“We are happy to be part of this programme and we wish it a success. We know that with you gentlemen at the helm, it will continue to be a success,” Affeez Khan, Marketing Consultant at NaMilCo, said on behalf of Managing Director, Bert Sukhai.
Chairman of the Boyce/Jefford Committee, Colin Boyce, assured the company that the Seventh Edition of the meet will live up to expectations. He informed Khan that a record number of 170 athletes have registered for the championships this year.
