Six teams to battle; U-13 match also slated
Guyanese footballers will roll back the years when they engage each other in a special one-day Golden
Jubilee President’s Cup Soccer tournament in New York tomorrow.
Teams representing Batrica, West Coast, East Coast, Linden, Berbice and Georgetown will be facing off in the 30 minute match-ups, placed in two groups of three teams each. The two emerging with the most points from each group will clash in the final which will be played for 90 minutes. An Under-13 match will
The venue is the South Shore High School in Flatlands Avenue, Brooklyn New York. The activity which is sponsored by Western Union Money Transfer expected to attract hundreds of Guyanese as they will also participate in Golden Jubilee Kids Fun Day also at South Shore High School.
Among the activities listed are face painting, tug-o-war, lime and spoon race, 3-legged race, don and the bone, sack race, senior and junior relay races as well a s a 50m dash.
Action will get underway at 10:00hrs.
