Deputy Commissioner Budhram rewards Top Level Cricket Club’s rising stars
Kaieteur Sports – The Guyana Police Force, through the Office of Deputy Commissioner ‘Administration’, Mr. Ravindradat Budhram, has joined several organizations in supporting the Top Level Cricket Club following the team’s outstanding performance in the Garfield Sobers Under-19 Club Cricket Tournament in Barbados, where they finished as runners-up.
Demonstrating the Force’s continued commitment to youth development and sports, Deputy Commissioner Ravindradat Budhram, last Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the Police Sports Club Ground, recognized and rewarded several players for their outstanding commitment and performances on the cricket field throughout the tournament.

Among those recognized were Richard Ramdeholl, who claimed an impressive 19 wickets, and Mickel Sharma, who scored the most runs (219) for his team during the competition.
Shahid Ramzan, Kishawn Silas and Amar Persaud, all of whom scored half-centuries, were also recognized for their outstanding performances with the bat.
Bowlers Shane Prince and Kaylon Callender were also commended for their impressive performances, particularly during the tournament’s semi-finals and finals, earning praise from the commentators.
The team was captained by Mickel Sharma, while Kishawn Silas served as vice-captain and wicketkeeper. The tournament, which ran from July 11 to 25, 2026, provided an important platform for young cricketers to compete against talented club teams from across the Caribbean while further developing their skills and experience.
Other sponsors supporting the team included the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, ENet, L&L Construction, CopyFix and E Timbers. (GPF)
