Rose Hall Town Farfan & Mendes have joined Blairmont Community Centre, Tucber Park and Albion
Community Centre in the semi-finals of the Tenelec Inc Under-15 Two-innings Cricket Competition in Berbice after beating Bush Lot United New Generation on first innings and their drawn quarter-final encounter.
In the match which was played at the Area “H” Ground in Rose Hall Town, Rose Hall choosing to bat first, lost an early wicket at 15 for 1, but at that point, two Guyana Under-15 cricketers Kevlon Anderson joined Junior Sinclair and they proceeded to put on 112 between them for the 2nd wicket before Sinclair fell for 53 at 127 for 2.
Anderson, who made 113 not out, continued, putting on 50 for the 3rd wicket with Berbice Under-15 batsman Keith Simpson (25) and then featuring in an unbroken 4th wicket stand of 98 with Brandon Corlette (30 N.O) to see Rose Hall Town declaring their first innings at 275 for 3. Bowling for Bush Lot, Guyana Under-15 offspinner Nivendra Prasad took 2 for 87.
When Bush Lot began their 1st inning response, they got a start of 32 from Adrian Ramnarine and Hanskumar Singh, but after the latter batsman fell for 19, the innings declined to 89 all out. Doing the damage were Rose Hall offspinner Junior Sinclair with 5 for 8 from 5.2 Overs and Keith Simpson 3 for 10 from 7-Overs. Ramnarine top scored with 34 for Bush Lot.
Enjoying a first innings lead of 186, Rose Hall Town, choosing not to enforce the follow on, started their 2nd innings and soon found themselves at 79 for 4 but then Simpson with 75 N.O and Anderson 60 N.O; ensured no further wicket fell to take Rose Hall to 180 for 4 when the game was called off. Sinclair had earlier made 26.
