Fruta Conqueror’s U-12 Football league kicks off this weekend

The administrators of the Fruta Conquerors Football Club (FCFC) will intensify their efforts to hone the skills of young ball weavers when they stage the Fruta Conquerors Under-12 League at the Tucville Playfield from Saturday June 1 – July 28.
Already, 10 teams have enlisted including Santos, Pele, Alpha, Western Tigers, Camptown, Fruta Conquerors, Northern Rangers, Rhythm Squad, Renaissance and the GFC.
When the action gets underway on Saturday, Santos will tackle Pele at 12:30hrs followed by Western Tigers up against Camptown. The final match on Saturday will pit the skills of Fruta Conquerors against Renaissance.
Activities continue on Sunday June 2nd with a double header; Northern Rangers takes on Rhythm Squad from 09:30hrs followed by Alpha against GFC. Matches will only be played on weekends.
Coach of the Fruta Conquerors FC, Sampson Gilbert said that organisers of his Club will be concentrating heavily on the development of the young players and is appealing to the members of the business community for support to make this tournament a success even as Executives continue in the drive of nurturing the youngsters for future representation.
He said that apart from the prize for the winning team, there will also be special prizes for the Most Valuable Player, Best Goalkeeper and the Most Disciplined Player among others.
