Keen contests witnessed as DCMCO 15 overs cricket tournament progresses

Several teams were triumphant in their respective zones when the District of Columbia Metro Organization (DCMCO) 15 overs round hand knockout Countrywide Softball cricket Tournament continued at venues countrywide.
In results from matches played last Sunday: East Coast (Upper) produces a zone winner in John Cena XI as Rameshwar Narine blasts 125 not out: East Bank record three victories while East Coast (Lower) has two in latest round.
East Bank zone:
At NIS Ground: PSI XI defeated Thunderbolt XI by a 35 runs.
PSI XI won the toss and elected to bat scoring 125-5 in 15 overs (Anand Khemraj 35; In reply Thunderbolt XI were dismissed for 90 in 14.5 overs ( Pravesh Bhola 35; Anand Khemraj 3-4 in 3 overs)
All Star Ambassadors defeated Young Warriors by 4 wkts.
Young Warriors batted first and scored 127 all out in 14 overs (Chris Bunesh 58; Imran Mohamed 4-11 from 3 overs) In reply All Star Ambassadors cruised to 128-6 in 11 overs (Shameer Fazal 56; Chris Bunesh 2-15 from 3 overs)
Farm XI made light work of Friendship All Stars by 7 wkts.
Friendship All Stars batted first and scored 74 all out in 13.5 overs (Rawle Reid 5-2 in 3 overs) In reply Farm XI cruised to 75-3 in 9 overs
(Vivian Bissoon 40).
Kris International Bravados got a walkover from Young Warriors “B” XI.
Lower East Coast Zone:
At Marshon Ground: Annandale west humbled Royal Challengers XI by 93 runs.
Annandale West batted first and scored 130-8 in 15 overs (Tasif Ali 32; Tyson Ali 30; Sheikh Hassan 3-40 from 3 overs) In reply Royal Challengers XI were bundled out for 37 in 7.4 overs (Sheikh Hassan 15; Vishal Singh 3-6 from 3 overs; Tyson Ali 2-5 from 2 overs).
Lusignan Gopaul Mandir gained a walkover from Legacy XI.
East Coast -Upper:
Cena XI mauled Auto Fashion XI by a massive 153 runs.
Cena XI made a mammoth 229-1 in 15 overs batting first (Rameshwar Narine 125 not out; Rajesh Reddy 52 not out (the two featuring in an unbroken 3rd wicket partnership of 199 runs) In reply Auto Fashion were bowled out for a paltry 76 in 12.3 overs (Lakeram Latomann 25; Anil Singh 3-15 from 3 overs; Rameshwar Narine 2-12 from 3 overs)
Flashers XI defeated Uprising XI by 60 runs.
Flashers XI batted first and made 176 all out in 15 overs( Aditya Bassant 55; Avinash Singh 52;Sunil Ramjeet 47; Surat Singh 3-40 from 3 overs) In reply Uprising XI made 116 all out in 13 overs (Clive Bristol 43;Pooran Bissessar 40; Mark Williams 4-32 from 3 overs)
Farmers XI defeated Flashers XI by 8 wkts.
Flashers XI batted first and made 97 all out in 12 overs and Farmers XI replied with 99-2 in 11 overs.
Farmers XI defeated Cena XI by 10 wkts.
Cena XI batted first and made 94 all out in 11 overs (Ramnarine Boodram 40; Rohan Chandra 23; Selon Smith 4-20 from 3 overs; Marlon Williams 4-30 from 3 overs) In reply Farmers made 96 without loss (Marlon Williams 54; Delon Will 30)
Meanwhile, the competition will continue this weekend with the other zones being active.
