The original 40-member Men’s squad that was short-listed by the Guyana Hockey Board (GHB) to prepare for the upcoming Caribbean Cup scheduled for June 22 – 29 in Kingston, Jamaica was reduced to 30 following a practice session last Friday.
The current list of players are: Timothy McIntosh, Azad DeAbreu, Robert Fernandes, Jerazeno Bell, Alex Gouveia, Devin Munroe, Marvin Dannett, Shane Samuels, Rene Edwards, Robert France, Randy Hope, Dwight Sullivan, Chris Low-Koan, Aderemi Simon, Tony Cole, John Abrahams, Jason Dos Santos, Orland Semple, Damon Woodroffe, Alan Fernandes, Devin Hooper, Kevin Spencer, Dwayne Scott, Raphael DeGroot, Shaka Gill, Leonard George, Michael Xavier, Orin Mayers, Dwayne Alleyne and Mikhail Smith.
According to Head Coach Ivor Thompson, the team is expected to be further reduced shortly before departure.
Meanwhile, the next scheduled practice match will be held today, at the GCC ground weather permitting.
