Good Success Sports Club of Wakenaam lost one of its members just before the past Christmas holidays.

Amin and one of his colleagues from the Demerara Distillers Limited were returning from the East Coast Demerara village of Enmore where they had dropped off another friend, when tragedy struck on their way back to Georgetown.
The car in which they were travelling collided with a minibus at Lusignan causing severe injuries to Mohamed, who celebrated his 28th birthday in November.
Amin captained the Essequibo Islands Secondary School cricket team at the U – 15 level with success before migrating to Georgetown where he attended the St. Roses High School and later became a member of the Everest Cricket Club. Amin, who hailed from Wakenaam, open the bowling for Good Success Sports Club and according to the club captain Mustak Mohamed, he was well known for a slower ball which was very difficult for batsmen to read because of his action.
“Whenever I need a wicket I would throw the ball to Amin and on most occasions he would get the break through. The team will miss him”. Good Success, a highly successful club on Wakenaam, recently won the Busta Limited overs cricket competition but had to postpone their annual awards ceremony for early 2009.
Amin who recently visited England on Vacation also resided in Trinidad and Tobago for a short period before returning to Guyana and was employed by D.D.L as a technician. He also worked with the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security.
He recently joined the Sans Souci Jaguars Sports club and said he would sponsor a 20/20 game between Good Success and the Jaguars last November to celebrate his birthday but the G.C.B 2 day cricket competition prevented the game from taking place.
