2nd Independence Softball Cup slated for May 24th in Berbice

Kaieteur Sports – Softball Teams from around Guyana will have an opportunity to battle for supremacy in the 2nd annual “Independence Softball Cricket Cup” which is slated for Sunday, 24th May 2026 in Region 6, Berbice.

This one-day limited overs tournament will see the addition of the female category in this open version of softball cricket and will be played in the usual round-arm format with extras in place.

According to the coordinators, plans are also being put in place for a grand off-field entertainment and games for the kids, as the day will be filled with fun and excitement for the entire family, with bouncy castles, slides, and much more.

Over one million will be up for grabs in cash and prizes for the winning teams, runner-ups, MVPs, Player of the finals, highest individual score, and best bowling figure in an innings in both categories.

The finals will be played under lights.

Registration starts on May 5th and closes on 20th May.
