Anderson fifty pilots Presidential Guards to 7-wicket win over the GPF Academy

Kaieteur Sports – Led by a classy fifty from Kevlon Anderson, the Presidential Guards sped to an easy 7-wicket victory over the GPF Academy when Round One wrapped up in the 2026 Commissioner of Police T20 Cup played at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary.

Batting first, GPF Academy made a modest 127 for 9 from their allotted 20 overs, with middle-order batsman Chaitram Rajroop (31) and opener Julian Craig contributed (18) leading the scoring.
Presidential Guard’s bowling was led by Mark Jeffers who raked in figures of 3-18 with Star of the match Anderson bagging 3-30.
The Guyana Harpy Eagles middle-order batsman Anderson then dug in for his top score of 59 which was enough to see his team to 129-3 in 17 overs.
Action continues today with the Regional Police Division #10 playing the Regional Police Division #3 in Game 1 from 09:30hrs
The second match will feature a clash between Divisions 1, 7, 8 & 9 Combined and Divisions 4A & 4B Combined from 13:30hrs. (C. Ross)
