Kaieteur Sports – Women’s Regional Under-19 cricket continues today with Guyana looking to rebound following a tough defeat at the hands of Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday, as they face Jamaica at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua.

T&T pulled off a tense win on Sunday over Guyana to gain additional momentum heading into today’s round.
It was a tough pill to swallow for the talented Guyana U-19 Women who fell to arch-rivals Trinidad & Tobago by 3-wickets as part of Sunday’s round of action.
Guyana were kept to a paltry 79-7 after 20 overs, with Allia Henry (22) the top scorer, as experienced youth spinner Samara Ramnauth bagged 3-20 for the Twin Island Republic ladies.
Jessica Davis (19) and Brianna Harricharan (17) took Trinidad & Tobago to 80-7 by the end of 16.1 overs.
Barbados beat Windward Islands by 9 wickets after the latter managed 67 all out batting first, to which the Bajans ended on 68-1 in reply to seal an easy win.

Guyana will need to regroup quickly with today’s match being a must-win situation for the under-pressure young women.
Jamaica, meanwhile, beat Leeward Islands by 6 wickets in another low-scoring match after successfully chasing the 90-4 made by their opponents, cruising to 92-4 with 2 balls to spare.
Today’s round will see Barbados looking to continue their win streak against Leewards at Coolidge, from 10:00h.
Over at the Liberta Sports Club, Trinidad and Tobago fresh off their win over the Guyanese will also want to maintain their form against a wounded Windwards unit; with their encounter getting underway from 10:00h.
Meanwhile, a desperate Guyana team could be equally dangerous today as they seek to make amends come today when they face the upbeat Jamaicans from 14:00h. (Clifton Ross)
