…Annandale Secondary and Abram Zuil in huge clash at the Enterprise Ground today
Kaieteur News – The nationwide Ministry of Education/Beharry Holdings U-19 Secondary School’s T20 Cricket tournament has taken the country by storm, with some of Guyana’s brightest youth prospects headlining a number of the statistical charts, with the race for individual supremacy also heating up ahead of the upcoming finals.
The tournament has been building nicely since it began back in early June, gaining significant traction and momentum at a steady pace, while allowing some of the best U19 talents to shine brightly, with the final road leading to the finals.
The tournament recently wrapped up some intense knockout games, which have so far seen the best of the best emerging as the 8 zonal winners.
After the last eight teams managed to essentially secure their spots in the Group A and B final stages, the action intensified, with the push to book the two spots in the final becoming increasingly tougher for the remaining teams.
All eyes will also be on the individual performers, most of whom have been dominant either with bat or ball, for a few both; as several youngsters will be keen on finishing the tournament possibly not with the title alone but the individual accolades to go along with such a historic competition.
