Kaieteur Sports – Powerlifting enthusiasts are in for an exciting display of strength, determination, and athletic excellence when the Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation (GAPLF) hosts its highly anticipated Annual Intermediate/Masters Championship on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Saint Stanislaus Secondary School.
The championship is expected to attract some of Guyana’s most talented Intermediate and Masters lifters, all eager to showcase months of rigorous training as they compete for top honours.
The event serves as a vital platform for athletes to test their abilities, improve national rankings, and demonstrate the continued growth of powerlifting across the country.
Weigh in will commence promptly at 7:00 a.m., allowing officials to verify competitors before the action begins. Spectators can expect the lifting competition to get underway at 9:00 a.m., with athletes battling through the squat, bench press, and deadlift disciplines in pursuit of championship glory.
