Sub Division NO 1 wins Regional Police Division NO 6 dominoes competition

Kaieteur Sports – The Regional Police Division #6 (East Berbice Corentyne) of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) recently hosted a one day domino competition at its Headquarters compound in New Amsterdam.

The day’s activity brought together ranks from across the division, members of the public, and representatives from the joint services.

At the end of the competition, Subdivision No1, which is led by Assistant Superintendent Quacy Gravesande with 54 games came out on top. The other players were S. Coppin, D. Gomes T. Christian, T. Munroe, M. Deen and C. Paul.

Action in the dominoes competition as Deputy Superintendent Michael Newland contemplate his next move.

In second place was guest team Fire Service with 51 games, while Headquarters with 47 games placed third.

The other teams that took part were Sub Division No2, Sub Division No 3 and Special Constabulary.

The outstanding players were – D. Gomes and Munroe of the No 1 Sub- Division and J. Amsterdam of Fire Service.

The first love was administered by King-Barry of Head Quarters.

The day’s activity was coordinated by Deputy Commander, Superintendent Guy Nurse. According to Nurse, the activity was part of the Regional Police Division No 6 commitment to fostering unity, teamwork, and a supportive environment where ranks can relax, recharge, and build strong professional relationships.
