Kaieteur Sports – President of the Caribbean Boxing Organization (CBO) Guyanese Seon Bristol has announced that soon the match-ups for the first ever boxing card set for Boxing Day in Guyana on December 26, will be known via live streaming on the CBO’s platform.
The Brooklyn-based Bristol, whose Bris-O Promotions outfit out of Guyana is collaborating with the CBO for this fight card, said contracts for the bouts are now being finalized.
In an earlier interview Bristol remarked: “This event is expected to attract boxing fans from across the Caribbean and beyond, uniting the region through sport while shining a spotlight on its elite athletes. With the combined efforts of CBO member promoters, the Boxing Day card is poised to deliver non-stop action, unforgettable moments, and the start of an annual tradition celebrating Caribbean boxing excellence.”
This newly formed CBO is a collective of leading boxing promoters from across the Caribbean, aims to elevate professional combat sports in the region by uniting top talent, creating larger platforms, and delivering world-class events to Caribbean fans. The organization is currently comprised of promoters representing Guyana, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, St. Maarten, The Bahamas, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Grenada and Curaçao, each bringing their fighters and expertise to the ring.
The names of the fighters are to be released soon to the public via live streaming on the CBO platform, it was announced.
Additionally, efforts are underway to obtain sponsorship for advertising space for this card, which will be streaming across the Caribbean; and such spots available include for the ring apron, corner pads cover and ads on the CBO’s website during streaming.
