GBA will be hosting their National Senior and Junior Tournament at the National Gymnasium starting October 9
Kaieteur Sports – The Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) will be spiking off their National Senior and Junior Tournament from October 9-12 at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
The competition was announced over a month ago with players having adequate time to prepare, as they compete for spoils within the various categories over a total of four days.
Arguably the big matchups are expected to feature in Men’s and Women’s Singles Open; which is expected to showcase Guyana’s more senior players and prospects.
Meanwhile, the Under-13 to 19 category will also have their fair share of action, with youngsters squaring off in the Boy’s/Girl’s Singles, Boy’s Doubles and Girl’s Doubles.
A Mixed Doubles category is also expected to headline the showdown amongst some of the country’s elite badminton players
The first two days of battle will see matches serving off from 17:00h to 22:00h, while the final two days get underway from 10:00h to 17:00h.
