Police on the move, Regal Stationery fuels sporting spirit

Kaieteur Sports- Regal Stationery and Computer Centre donated a large quantity of sporting equipment to the Guyana Police Force (GPF) on Friday afternoon in Georgetown.

This donation is part of the long-standing relationship between the company and the police. The gear will support both indoor and outdoor sports, helping one of Guyana’s most active and disciplined clubs continue to excel in various disciplines.

The donation included equipment for cricket, football, hockey, volleyball, athletics, badminton, boxing, table tennis, fitness, chess, and dominoes, along with a hot and cold-water dispenser.

Manager of Regal Sports, Ian John, handed over the equipment on behalf of Managing Director, Mahendra Hardyal, at the GPF Sports Club in Eve Leary. John explained that the gift reflects the goodwill shared between the Regal family and the GPF over the years, and promised that more donations could follow if the equipment is put to good use.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Administration) and GPF men’s cricket captain, Ravindradat Budhram, accepted the donation. He thanked the Regal family for their generosity and promised the equipment would be used to keep officers both mentally and physically fit.

Budhram also reminded Hardyal of an upcoming cricket match between the two sides, joking, “It can be softball or hardball — the ground [Eve Leary] is ready.”
