Kaieteur Sports –Former Guyana youth player Kevin Christian continued his dream-run in this year’s edition of the New York National Cricket League (NYNCL) with a brilliant 136 last Sunday in the continuation of the 16-team round-robin competition.
Christian is now leading the runs-aggregate with 486 runs in six matches having registered four half-centuries before his 56-ball enterprising knock.

Christian also shared a flamboyant, 233-run second-wicket stand with Brandon Cabose who recorded his maiden century in this competition with 105.
Their partnership spanned an incredible 104 deliveries with Cabose, an ex-Essequibo Inter-County player, slamming six sixes and eight fours during his impressive 71-ball stay at the crease.
The pair came together after Cabose’s opening partner Youghestir Bachan contributed 23 before the fireworks began.
When Christian departed in the 22nd over, West Coast Warriors suffered a middle-order collapse as leg-spinner Devindra Balgobin grabbed 4-14 from 4 tidy overs.
Two other bowlers picked up two wickets each to support Balgobin on a responsive track. Ryan Ganesh conceded 33 runs off four overs and Towgeshwar Thakoordeen went for a staggering 99 runs from his maximum six overs.
