Kaieteur Sports- The much-anticipated fifth edition of the ‘One Guyana’ King and Queen of the Sand Football Championships, originally set to kick off on Labour Day, May 1st, but temporarily postponed, will now start on Sunday May 18th 2025 in the bauxite-rich town of Linden.
This year’s tournament promises an electrifying showcase of beach football action, with 74 teams; 64 male and 10 female ready to battle for sand supremacy at the People’s Progressive Party Civic (PPP-C) Linden office ground.

Assistant General Manager- Akiesha Forrester of Forrester’s presents the sponsorship to Colin BL Aaron in the presence of GM Secretary- Sherisha Adams.
Among the leading teams in action in the Queens segment are: GDF, Iconic Strikers, Hururu and Speightland, while the Kings will feature: Hard Knocks, Spaniards, YMCA and LA Ballers.
Organised by the Kashif and Shanghai Organisation, the tournament offers a lucrative prize pool of nearly $4 million in cash, trophies, and incentives and also promises the usual top-level entertainment associated with K&S events.
In the Kings division, champions will walk away with a hefty $1.5 million, while second to fourth place teams will receive $500,000, $300,000, and $200,000 respectively. In the Queens division, the winning team will claim $500,000, with $300,000, $200,000, and $100,000 reserved for the next top three finishers.
Meanwhile, one key sponsor has come on board for the prestigious event. Forrester Concrete has pledged their support for the event, recently making a donation to Colin BL Aaron of the K&S Organisation. Assistant General Manager- Akiesha Forrester in the presence of GM Secretary- Sherisha Adams, made that presentation to Aaron.
