-Settlement of All Arguments’ Street Football continues
Kaieteur Sports- Eight electrifying matchups lit up the Back Circle Tarmac in East Ruimveldt on Wednesday evening, wrapping up day three action in the 2025 Annual ‘Settlement of All Arguments’ Street Football Championship.
The tournament has delivered nonstop entertainment since its kickoff, with some of the nation’s top street football teams making bold statements early on. While a few surprise results have added intrigue, elite teams such as Gold is Money, Back Circle, Stabroek Ballers ‘A’, Festival City, Team Family, and Bent Street ‘A’ remain on track in their pursuit of the title, each securing at least one win so far.
Wednesday’s fixtures lived up to the hype. In the opening clash, Genesis edged past Sophia ‘B’ in a thrilling 2-1 battle. West Side Ballers followed up with their second consecutive win, comfortably dispatching Red Force 2-0. Match three saw Ballers Empire narrowly defeat Unity Ballers 1-0 to advance further in the competition.
North Ruimveldt claimed a 1-0 win over Bent Street ‘B’, while Team Family continued their unbeaten run, cruising past Thomas Street Ballers with a dominant 3-0 victory. In the remaining contests, Albouystown Ballers took down Victoria Eagles 2-0, North East La Penitence thrashed Stabroek Ballers ‘B’ 4-0, and Z-Tek narrowly lost 3-2 in a fast-paced clash against Team Taliban.
The action resumes tonight on the iconic East Ruimveldt tarmac, widely regarded as the home of street football with another round of intense fixtures. With every match inching teams closer to the coveted 2025 championship, fans can expect more dazzling passes, fierce dribbles, and breathtaking buildups.
The semifinals are scheduled for May 23, with the grand finale set for May 26. Each night’s action kicks off at 7:00 PM.
