GSA names strong 21-member team to represent Guyana at the upcoming Junior CASA C/ship
Kaieteur Sports- The Guyana Squash Association (GSA) has officially unveiled a 21-member national junior team set to represent the nation at the highly anticipated 2025 Junior Caribbean Area Squash Association (CASA) Championship, scheduled for June 29 to July 5 in George Town, Cayman Islands.

The announcement follows the successful staging of the Moo! sponsored National Juniors Championship, which served as the primary selection ground for the team. A spirited and determined squad was assembled by the GSA and its selection committee, reflecting both promising talent and experienced contenders.
The team, which includes a blend of seasoned players and emerging stars, will now shift into intensive training mode in the final weeks leading up to the Caribbean’s premier junior squash event. With the recent completion of the state-of-the-art doubles court at Woolford Avenue, athletes will benefit from enhanced preparation facilities designed to elevate their performance on the regional stage.
Among the standout names on the roster are Louis Da Silva, Kaylee Lowe, Ethan Bulkan, Ella Fernandes, and Emily Fung-a-fat. These athletes are not only expected to lead their respective age groups but are also strong contenders for individual titles.
The full team is as follows; Alexis Arjoon, Ella Fernandes (Girls U11), Tehani Munroe, Zoey Mc Donald (Girls U13), Kaylee Lowe, Tiana Gomes (Girls U15), Avery Arjoon, Emily Fung-a-fat (Girls U17), Safirah Sumner, Rylee Rodrigues (Girls U17), Zion Hickerson, Rafael Brathwaite (Boys U11), Ethan Bulkan, Jibril Alli (Boys U13), Justin Ten-Pow, Egan Bulkan (Boys U15), Blake Edwards, Justin Goberdhan (Boys U17), Louis Da Silva, Mohryan Baksh and Shiloh Asregado (Boys U19).

Guyana will head into this year’s tournament with a proud legacy to uphold. At the previous edition held in the British Virgin Islands, the national team secured an impressive second-place overall finish, with the boys placing third and the girls securing fifth. The country’s rich squash history also includes an outright championship title in 2022, along with a dominant 12-year winning streak from 2005 to 2016.
With just over a month before competition begins, the young athletes are expected to ramp up preparations, aiming to return to the top of the regional squash ladder.
